Smile Temperature of flame

Hi guys.

My Honors Thesis involves some glass melting. However the glass that I'm using (Bioglass) requires a temperature of 1350 degrees celsius to melt.

I'm able to achieve this in a conventional furnace, however do you think this is at all possible with a torch? It would save me a fortune in electricity bills and power bills. And time, because the furnance heats up at 300 degrees per hour.

Thanks in advance.

lejeuneglass will become famous soon enough
What exactly do you want to accomplish by melting glass. And yes, you can use a torch but need more details.
