Not only does it cost you nothing, you can sell the items you make before they are even cold.
The Naples Valley Arts and Crafts Village (located in Naples, NY) is a reality. Artists from all over the country are booking weekend time in the hot shop.
The schedule is almost full, but I have a few weekends left open.
Here's how it works:
Checkout www.naplesartsandcrafts.com Read about "The Furnace".
Send email to lmichel@usermail.com for the quickest response to your interest or questions.
The Furnace attracts hundreds of people each day to watch you (and your chosen assistant) work with hot glass.
The Furnace pays for itself by taking a percentage of what you make and sell at the shop. The remainder of the cash goes in your pocket!
FAQs:
Can I bring pre-made items to sell? YEP, you sure can.
What are you melting? Spruce Pine 87 and the new Glasma from Sweeden
Can I make something and keep it? YEP, as long as you make another to sell.
What kind of equipment do you have? A new 80lb Silicon Carbide fired furnace, 14" Glory and 26X26X30 annealer. Tools, Pipes, benches, etc..
What do I bring? Most artists prefer to bring their own tools. We have limited frit and color available, so you may want to consider bringing your own.
How much experience do I need? Well, let's talk. I'll want to see some pictures of what you've made and understand what you plan to do with your weekend in the shop.
Interested? Slots are booked on a first-come-first-served basis. This is not a marketing or sales gimmick. The shop NEEDS different artists each weekend to be a success.
Thanks,
Lance Michel
