Hi all, I'm looking at starting some lampwork... I've never done it before but would like to learn and if possible I'd like to do it as cheap as possible. What sort of torch should I get? What is the cheapest?
Can a bunsen burner be used? (I'll probably be laughed at for asking that).
Any tips would be appreciated, thanks.

I'm new to this too. Checkout the search on 'torch' - there are some interesting comments pointing to Nortel as a starter torch, which is what I am looking at. From what I do know about torches, the bunsen wouldn't cut it for most glass work as it is not hot enough, however though it looks and acts something like the japanese torches, which don't get too hot, so maybe if you were working with Satake glass it could work - possibly - don't quote me! lol
Good luck
