LAMPWORKING ON THE MOUNTAIN TOP
An Interview with Phyllis Clarke.
Glass Line: June / July, 1997 - Vol. 11 No. 1

After working for ten years as a microbiologist she started to make jewelry thus satisfying a long-held desire to be involved in the arts for the sake of self-expression. She got three lessons on manipulating Pyrex glass from her husband's (Richard's) sister Patty Clarke, a long-time lampworker, and that started her off on a career of glassware making.
