sonshyne Member Registered: February 2007 Location: Bitterroot Mountains of Montana Posts: 45 users gallery	Gold Stone and Aqua Nuggets: A few moths ago my son was on a Mexican Riviera cruise. His ship stopped in Puerto Vallarta, as he walked along the sands of there beautiful beach he came across this statue of enduring mermaid love.Knowing what a sucker I am for love stories and mermaids he took a picture and sent it to me. The glass I mixed for this bead set was inspired by this lovely bronze statue over looking the Mexican Riviera. Wow ~ I could really use a little white sand and sunshine about now :-) I created these exotic beauties by first making a ribbon cane of gold stone and light aqua glass. I placed this on a sky blue base and added a darker clear aqua glass. The gold stone shimmers in the glass like a burred treasure under the sea.
